| "Christian" Marriage Counselor Leading Cause of Reader's DivorceReader Letter, 11/25/04 I read your book, "Psychology Debunked," several months ago and found that it confirmed all of my beliefs in so-called Christian counseling as well as secular counseling. It was one of the best books I have ever read, and I have recommended it to several people… Reading [the book] confirmed all my suspicions that I have had for years about this heretical practice, and that as Galatians 5:9 says, "A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough." The leaven of psychology has not only entered the church, but it has literally taken over. The truth about (even) Christian counseling is that not only did I do it, but so did my wife. Never in our separate sessions with separate Christian professionals were either of us ever instructed to bring our Bibles and rarely was Scripture ever referred to. The Scripture that was introduced into my wife's sessions was in Malachi 2, and it was used to convince her that she had the "right" to divorce me -- that that is what that passage meant and was instructing her to do! The harmful information that was passed onto my wife was a leading cause of her leaving me and eventually remarrying a non-believer. Please understand, I know that I didn't do my job as spiritual leader, nor was I the husband I should have been, but as one pastor told me, "An almost guarantee to divorce is to Christian marriage counsel." Sadly, he was right, but praise God, "greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world." God and His Spirit and Son overcome all, and I still believe in a big God who can do anything but fail. The revelation in your book needs to be promoted across the country and the world because the damage that is being done by the wolves in sheep's clothing is incalculable. For my part, anyone that will listen will be pointed to the truth of God's Word and your book. Thank you for your effort -- it was well worth it. TH, Internet
