The Law Tutoring Us to Christ

You’re screaming down the freeway at 90 miles an hour. A cop quickly approaches in your rear view mirror. Uh-oh. He pulls you over. “I clocked you at 90 miles an hour in a 65 mile an hour zone,” he says. You sincerely reply, “I’m sorry officer. You see, I have what they call automotive anxiety disorder. If I am stressed while I drive, I tend to push harder on the accelerator to relieve my stress. I’m taking medication for my disease.”

 

The cop doesn't buy it. He points to the sign on the side of the road. “You see this?” “Yes, sir,” you gulp. “The speed limit is 65 miles an hour. You broke the law.” You can’t argue with him—there it is, in black and white. You look back at the cop. He just stands there, silent. After squirming in your seat, you finally admit, “Yes, officer, you’re right. I’ve broken the law. What must I pay?” The cop admires your honesty, smiles, and says, “This one’s on me. You’re free to go.” You’re stunned, until he removes his mirrored glasses. You realize it’s your dad.

 

Our Father in heaven has given us “speed limits” on life in His law, the Bible. It’s the law that shows us our sin and drives us to the Savior, who sets us free. How do we know we’ve broken the law if we don’t know what the law is? Without the law, there is no sin, and without sin, there is no Savior from sin. PASTORS, TAKE NOTE! Psychology’s non-medical, unscientific mental disorders and diseases ignore God’s law and excuse sinful behavior, effectively making the Savior irrelevant! That is why psychology is a false gospel and should be rejected outright by all Christians—especially preachers of the Word!

Letters

This reader refused to allow school personnel to diagnose her son with ADHD, and in response, the school admitted their label was actually a means to get state funding for tutoring programs, and that her son was “probably normal.” This practice is more common that many of us realize—another aspect of psychiatry/psychology illustrating its true purpose: money and profits.
