Reader Letter 5/9/06 Whatever Became of Sin and Grace?
Whatever became of our sin and God’s grace, of the guilt that hides us away from His face and of Jesus who died on a cross in disgrace?
Some say that He died because we’re worth a lot, and our sin comes from the bad self-image we’ve got, while the past that we lived ties our today in a knot.
Whatever became of the blood that was shed, the crown of thorns beat down on his head and the guilt that He bore for the spiritually dead?
I’ve heard I can’t love you the way God wants it to be until I learn first how to love me and think of myself with wonderful glee.
Whatever became of our sin and God’s grace? Our sin was nailed to a horrible place. If only we knew what Jesus dared to embrace.
God’s grace comes to us through the life of His Son, it has nothing to do with what we are or we’ve done. We deserve not the love
of the Infinite One.
Jesus rose from the dead to give us a new start and put His divine life inside of our heart. If you think it’s from you then you’re not very smart.

Editor’s Note: The concluding line could be a modern-day translation of 2 Corinthians 3:5 and Proverbs 28:26…
