My spirit definitely witnesses to what you are saying about psychology.  Notice that I will not honor it even so much as capitalizing the word.

"Romans 6" is where the leather hits the concrete, so to speak, in underscoring our God's remedy for our sin nature and our acts of sin!!!   Definitely "Saving" and "Sanctifying" Power!!   Right now I feel like getting a bull horn and shouting this message from the roof tops!

I, too, was a Christian enslaved to my sin nature and looked for years to psychology for answers.   Almost all of my pastors were persuaded there was salvation in the "world's system" too.   I've noticed, sadly to say, that the end of the lives of these pastors was very very sad.   Broken marriages, children gone into rank outbroken sin, etc.   You name it, they suffered it, because they chose to keep one foot in the "world" and the other in the "Church".   Speaking of bipolar!!  Most Christians are the worst!   "A double minded man is unstable in all of his ways!"   I have so much work to do to persuade my fellow believers that our God not only has all of the answers, but He is the Answer!   May His Name evermore be praised!   Isn't it exhilarating to know where you stand "in Him"?

You will be excited to know, as I am, that I am receiving stiff resistance to your book as I give it away, but, only from pastors who are steeped in psychology.  I had one of my pastors... stomp off in one of the most carnal demonstrations I have ever witnessed from a 55 year old preacher.  Others in opposition just grunt and change the subject.    For them to take a serious "heart" look at what they have invested years of their lives endorsing would be to express emotional, and spiritual, maturity.   They are obviously not capable of doing what they wouldn't hesitate a moment to counsel someone else to do.  Like Doctor Phil would say:  "This isn't about me" when someone on the show challenges one of his comments.   It is so sad to see that Phil's father, a Baptist preacher, appears to have failed him so miserably.

Others have had honest mixed emotions (God will straighten their emotions out if they continue to look to Him) and others are in total agreement, as I am.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, a thousand times over, thank you!!
