Thank you for your forward on Autism. I have found this area to be very confusing lately…. Reason being in my study’s of mental illness… ADD, ADHD ect, and the world's explanations VS. Scripture….

Scripture reference saying there is NOTHING NEW under the sun…. Ecclesiastes 1:9 - both of these areas hit home because of Breanna  and weeding out what the world has informed us has been very difficult.

Could Autism be included in this area of ADD and ADHD? According to Physicians, Physiologists, they cannot find the source or cause. Some say vaccinations, some say food allergy, some say birth trauma. However, no medical testing that can validated any of these areas.

For years I have prayed and ask God to bring other families into our life, who have children with Autism. He did answer… but with a minimal contact with these families. However, I will say…. The few families that I have come in contact they seemed to NOT instruct much (if any) discipline in the child’s life.

I guess my question is…. Is it possible that Autism is a child with slow or delayed learning including language and has some difficulty with social skills, which describes most of  25% of the world's population. Yet, without discipline, their "self" rules, which leads Physiologists to label these children because of there bizarre behavior and lack of discipline?

Breanna has seen countless Physiologists and Neurologist which all have put her in different categories of Autism. All have a different approach to how she should be educated and discipline is never a discussion. (Which is why I’m homeschooling her.)

Breanna has surpassed all expectations according to Physiologist standards…. And as of now you cannot tell that she has any difficulty as she did in the past.  Breanna is on grade level, and has, at times better social skills than other children her age.   The only area she does seem to struggle in is a minimal language delay.  However, through reading she is improving a great deal.

Anyway,…. I have been approached by numerous people on the subject through out the years either because they know someone or have a relative and they usually what to know how I have dealt with it…. The only answer I have is……… PRAY…… learn what your child’s bend is (for their instruction)…. Discipline them just like you would any other child… (As God commands us too)… Love them and keep raising the bar and make them work to achieve the goal.
