Dear Friend, Welcome to the March 2008 issue of the Psychology Debunked newsletter, and a Happy Easter season to you. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and His later ascension into heaven gives us hope, for many reasons: - It means there is life beyond the grave. We don't just cease to exist after we die.
- It proves Jesus was who He claimed to be--the Son of God--because only God can conquer death. All other religious leaders are dead in their graves, or will soon die.
- It substantiates every claim Jesus made about Himself, including His claim that He is the only way to God, and that without Him, we will die in our sins and suffer eternal punishment in a real place called hell, where there is weeping, gnashing of teeth, burning fire that is never quenched, and black darkness forever.
- It gives us assurance that we, too, will ascend into heaven after we die, if we place our complete faith and trust in Jesus as the one who bore the punishment of our sins on our behalf.
- It gives us a faith that is not just for heaven, but for the here and now. Through the Holy Spirit sent after Jesus' ascension, God dwells in our hearts--comforting us, guiding us, transforming us, and guaranteeing our future inheritance that awaits us in glory!
| Jhn 11:25 | | Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: |
Without the resurrection and ascension of Christ and the sending of the Holy Spirit into our hearts, we would certainly have a difficult time living the way God intended. We would just be followers of another religion, trying as hard as we could to overcome our past and our sins and please God. The good news is, God has indeed given us everything we need to live to please God and therefore ultimately bless ourselves. We no longer need to dwell on the past, our upbringing, our unmet needs, our difficult circumstances, our guilt and shame, our sinful tendencies, our genetics, or our brain chemicals. For we have Christ's resurrection life living in us, helping us. Thanks to Christ's indwelling life, The Bible declares we are new creations in Christ, and dead to sin and self: | 2Cr 5:17 | | Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. | | Rom 6:5 | | For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection: | | Rom 6:6 | | Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. | | Rom 6:7 | | For he that is dead is freed from sin. |
In this issue, we see Christ's indwelling life at work in some believers, and the useless wordly philosophies of psychology and psychiatry at work in other believers. One delivers, the other destroys. Also this month, don't miss Amy Philo's heart-wrenching YouTube video, and David Christy's article on psychiatric drugs and the Christian--fueled by his close Christian friend's psych drug-induced suicide. Psych drugs in 80% of Swedish suicides Alarming data obtained from Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare shows over 80% of Swedes committing suicide were taking psychiatric drugs at the time of their death, shattering the myth that mental health screening and drugging helps prevent suicide, and reinforcing the FDA warnings that antidepressants can exacerbate suicidal or violent thoughts and behavior. more »

Don't be fooled by this new government program designed to bring in billions for big beauracracy, big pharma and mental health professionals under the guise of caring for women's health. Democratic nominees O'Bama and Clinton both support this initiative. The losers in this equation are the mom--who now must suffer dangerous drug side effects in addition to normal hormonal imbalances--and the child, who has no choice but to ingest brain- and organ-damaging drugs into their little bodies. Deluded. Uninformed. The Christian community - God's own people - worshipping at the altars of psychiatric godlessness and sacrificing their brains and souls to the false gods of chemistry. Why? Because it is easier to take drugs than to do the work that is required to allow God to change our lives. Most have accepted that these charlatans of hope, who peddle these drugs, somehow have stumbled onto the real reason man struggles - it is chemical - and that they can offer us relief if we will only 'bite their apple.' But when the apple is bitten, death comes."
