Reader Letters

September 23, 2008

Hi there,

I want to thank you for your monthly newsletters.

I had heard (vaguely) about bi-polar, but late last year my son of 19 started dating an also 19 year old girl whom he told me had bi-polar disorder. I started searching the net for definitions, solutions etc, and as a Christian I would rather turn to God and a biblical solution to any problem. I came across your website and subscribed to your newsletters, which I printed since April and passed on to my son. At best I thought at least they would be informed of alternate solutions to the problem.

Imagine how delighted I was when my son told me he and his girlfriend are now attending church, bible study and she has stopped all her meds. I asked about withdrawal and he said it was a bit difficult at first but its getting better.

Thanks once again. Keep up the good work.
