Dear Friend,

Welcome to the August 2009 issue of the Psychology Debunked newsletter!

In our October 2008 newsletter, we encouraged readers to pray for the elections, and warned:

"If Barak Obama is elected our next President, we will start to see the quick demise of our democracy and freedoms, and the flourishing of everything that is restrictive, wicked, and deserving of divine judgment. God is in control, but we still need to pray for God's mercy and Hand in this election, then cast our vote and tell others to do the same. May He raise up the righteous to rule."

The Lord speaks to me often in a single word or phrase (he has to keep it simple for me!), and the single word I received when praying and thinking about Barak Obama's run for the presidency back in October was "control." Just a little less than a year later, we see government control at unprecendented levels in our history, from control of banks, car companies, insurance companies, and now potentially our healthcare system.

We've all heard the rumors and claims from every side about what this bill says--but have you actually reviewed the bill for yourself? Mathew Staver at Liberty Counsel has in detail, and has sounded a warning for all people, especially those who care about freedom from government invasiveness, out-of-control government spending, excessive taxation, invasion of privacy, decline of morality, and the rights of the family in making their own healthcare decisions. Staver urges us to know what this bill is all about, and to speak out to those who say they represent us!

The bill provides for mental health-specific services such as government insurance coverage of all therapies (pharma and talk, including marriage and family therapy), nationwide school mental health screening, and government-run home visitation programs to monitor child and family health. Its cousin bill in the Senate adds community-based "health teams" to sniff out kids for mental illness and treatment--teams made up of mental health workers who require no education or experience whatsoever.

What concerns us most, however, are not the mental health aspects of this bill, which will cost billions of taxpayer money for more needless labeling, drugging and physical, mental and spiritual damage to millions of individuals and families. What is most disturbing is its blatant socialist, communist bent that sounds like something right out of Hitler's Germany.

This month's issue is dedicated to educating our readers about this bill, which if passed, could help set the stage for eugenics and mass extermination of the unwanted. Hitler arose as a savior boasting many promises during tough economic times in Germany in the years prior to World War II, and eventually used government psychiatrists and their gas chambers to justify and carry out his mass killings. With a passage of this government-heavy and euthanasia-laced bill, the U.S. is eerily following in these same steps.

See this write-up by Pastor Rick Joyner for a level-headed, sober warning of the sin- and death-laden path our country is now considering with this healthcare bill.

Before we link to the actual bill and a section-by-section summary, a few words for skeptics, whether that is you or someone you forward this to: all the major polls asking the question, "Are you happy with your healthcare system?" get positive responses between 65% and 87% of the time. The majority of Americans are happy with their healthcare system--why change it? Because it's not about making Americans happy; it's about government takeover of every aspect of our lives. Oppression and slavery replace freedom and self-control when we take God out of our culture, and that is what we've done since the 60s.

Second, this government healthcare plan WILL be the only affordable option for most Americans when to stay competitive, employers will choose to either discontinue private plan options to avoid the massive payroll taxes they will have to incur, or pass those on to employees in the form of a hefty premium. The bill indirectly admits this single payor consequence by prohibiting suing the government for a healthcare monopoly!

Third, since when does government know how to run healthcare? Medicare/Medicaid is bankrupt and broken, and now the government wants to extend this failed program to everyone?

Finally, remember, powerful government and mass media in this country (synonymous these days) are trying to convince us that the rumors about single payor, rationed care and "death boards" are false. Don't believe everything you hear--follow the money and you will see it leads back to special interests like drug companies who stand to make billions from this bill, and to government-backed agencies like ACORN who benefit from big government. Power, control, and the love of money drive lies about this bill, from the top on down.

If these people really cared about your health care, they would cut healthcare taxes, which would directly cut the high healthcare costs that people like you and me have to pay. Instead of cutting costs, this bill adds trillions to our deficit and yet claims to "reduce the growth in healthcare spending." It doesn't take an economist or mathematician to figure out that more people insured with existing healthcare resources and existing taxpayer money means higher costs, higher taxes, long lines and waiting lists, lower quality, and rationed care.

Now, on to the bill itself. At a minimum, read this section-by-section summary. Then pray fervently for its failure, tell everyone you know, contact your local representatives and senators with your thoughts, and never elect them to Congress again if they support it! This is not the time to complain and do nothing, or stick our head in the sand and hope it goes away. This is the time to act, for the sake of our parents and grandparents, our children and grandchildren, and our blessed country.

Sincerely in Christ,

Ryan Bazler

"When I read the brief on what was contained in the National Health Care bill that is now being presented before Congress, I could not believe I was reading something that was actually being considered in the United States of America . This is not about money or government mismanagement—this is about something far more diabolical than that. As incomprehensible as it may seem, this is about euthanasia, the power to determine who lives or dies in America . Hitler and Stalin would have loved to have had a means such as this for dispatching the millions they killed—it would have made their job much easier, and probably given them the ability to kill many more than they did. THIS BILL IS THAT SINISTER."
