I'm sorry to say that there will be few people, even in the Church, who will 'get' all of this. I have found that most NANC counselors do, but there is an odd one of those who will say medication is appropriate in dire cases. I was on those medications and I cry that when I became a Christian, having been on psych drugs for a year by then, when I asked my pastor if taking these drugs was right, he had no answer. A decade later, I had reached tolerance many times over, was being drugged to death, given multiple mental illness diagnoses, all because of tolerance w/d symptoms off the drugs.

Don't know if you caught the link to my story: www.BenzoSupport.org/debra.htm but I spent 4 years tapering off those drugs and another 2 years just getting partway well.

Godspeed to both of you. I pray that more people will hear the Word with all their hearts, minds, and souls. And that more of us will speak out.

Debra

Our response:

Hi Debra,

My wife and I have experienced similar persecution within the Christian church, after we wrote "Psychology Debunked" (http://www.psychologydebunked.com). We felt God called us to write this book, to sound a warning to Christians that the labels, therapies and drugs that the world offers is not the answer, especially for the Christian!

My wife Lisa is a former psychotherapist intern in CA so she has the industry credibility to back up our claims, but even then, we found many still clung to their psychological excuses. Sometimes hard facts can't compete with illogical and subjective emotions.

Our materials and monthly newsletters have helped many others see the truth, though, which is why we do what we do. For every hate email we get, we many more notes of gratitude and support. Those who listen with an open mind are those who love objective truth more than themselves and their disorder labels.

Sincerely in Christ,

Ryan and Lisa Bazler

Hello Mr. & Mrs. Bazler,

I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your ministry…

I have not personally seen a psychologist/psychiatrist, however, my family is deceived by this “god”.  I have a sister who has taken antidepressants, or some form of “prescriptive” medicine.  It is devastating!  She doesn’t think so…she has been deceived.

Two of my sisters work for psychiatrists/psychologists.  They exalt the “freedom” that can be found through this sort of treatment.  One of my sisters speaks of the “freedom and deliverance” she found through a certain antidepressant.  At one point she and her doctor tried to wean herself off this medicine…it was horrible!  However, another doctor (the one she currently works for) found the “perfect” medicine to help her.  They both say they are Christians.  It is funny to me that they claim to follow Christ yet don’t believe HE is able to deliver without the help of the antidepressants.

I voiced my concerns a few times about the error of turning to something other than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, but they both make it very clear they are in disagreement. The daughter of one of these sisters has fallen into the pit of lies and now has a psychology degree and is also getting her masters in psychology (all with “Christian” emphasis, of course!!)

I know that you cannot be a savior to all (we already have One who is—PRAISE HIM!), but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your boldness and courage to speak out against such a powerful force coming straight from the devil himself.  I plan to purchase your book.

Could I ask for your prayers?  I know that God is leading me to discuss this with them again.  I desire truth for them.  I desire TRUE freedom for them, which can only be found in Jesus Christ.  The “psychology lies” are so very strong.  I rest, however, in the ONE who is stronger than anything!!

May God bless you and HIS ministry HE has entrusted to you.

Our response:

Thank you for your email. We are encouraged by your courage to speak up to your family, and troubled by your family's insistence that they can follow Christ and look to a mind drug for salvation from their mental/behavioral struggles. They simply don't understand the sufficiency of God's grace to handle all of life's problems. Christ becomes merely fire insurance for the afterlife rather than our all in all in the here and now.

Our book is a great foundational work, but for specifics on a ton of issues relating to psychology and psychiatry, make sure to review back-issues of our free monthly newsletter, here: http://www.psychologydebunked.com/backissues.htm

Our CDs also cover a lot of specifics that the book doesn't.

Love in Christ,

Lisa and Ryan Bazler
